Can NDIS Fund Home Cleaning?
Yes — for eligible participants, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can fund home cleaning as part of daily living supports. However, it's not automatic. Whether cleaning is funded depends on your NDIS plan, your goals, and how cleaning relates to your disability-related needs.
Taspro Cleaning Solutions has NDIS services available. We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants to deliver professional, respectful home cleaning as part of their NDIS supports.

Which NDIS Support Category Covers Cleaning?
Home cleaning is typically funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life (Support Category 01). This category funds help with tasks you'd do for yourself if your disability didn't prevent it — including maintaining your home environment.
Within this category, the relevant line item is usually Assistance with Daily Life, which can include cleaning, laundry, and basic household tasks. Your Support Coordinator or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) can confirm whether cleaning is included in your specific plan.

What Home Cleaning Can NDIS Fund?
NDIS-funded cleaning must be directly related to your disability and its impact on your ability to maintain your home. Funded cleaning typically includes:
- General home cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces)
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning
- Kitchen cleaning
- Laundry assistance
- Changing and washing bed linen
Deep cleaning, spring cleaning, and end of lease cleaning may be funded in some circumstances — discuss this with your Support Coordinator. Use our quote tool or contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
What NDIS Does NOT Fund
NDIS cleaning support is for disability-related cleaning needs, not general household preferences. NDIS will not typically fund:
- Cleaning that a non-disabled household member can reasonably do
- Cleaning for other family members who don't have a disability
- Cleaning that isn't related to your disability-related needs
- Commercial or business premises cleaning
The key question the NDIS applies is: "Would a person without your disability need to pay someone to do this?"
How to Access NDIS Cleaning with Taspro
Getting started with NDIS-funded cleaning through Taspro is straightforward:
- Step 1: Check your NDIS plan includes Core Supports for daily living

- Step 3: Get in touch with Taspro — we'll discuss your needs and create a service agreement
- Step 4: We deliver cleaning on your chosen schedule and send a tax invoice to your plan manager (plan-managed) or to you (self-managed)
Our NDIS team is experienced, patient, and understands the unique needs of participants. We're happy to accommodate specific preferences, sensitivities, or routines.
Plan Management and NDIS Cleaning
How your NDIS cleaning is managed depends on your plan management type:
- NDIA-managed (agency): You must use NDIS-registered providers. Taspro is not a registered provider, so if your plan is agency-managed, ask your Local Area Coordinator or support coordinator about switching to plan management.
- Plan-managed: You can use registered or unregistered providers. Your plan manager handles the claims. Taspro works with plan-managed participants.
- Self-managed: You can use any provider and reimburse yourself by submitting claims to NDIS.
